On Wednesday A lesser Shortwing sang twice and was briefly seen about 50 metres above the bottom of the Tai Po Kau approach road. It has a loud and beautiful song but is shy. It came when I pished, but only showed very briefly before disappearing. This is the third site in which Lesser Shortwing hads been seen away from its breeeding area high on Tai Mo Shan. The others are Shek Kong Catchment and Ng Tung Chai. Also at Tai Po Kau were: Verditer Pygmy Wren Babbler Blyth's Leaf Warbler "Goodsoni" Blyth's Leaf Warbler (formerly known as Sulphur-breasted Warbler Also a Mugimake Flycatcher at TPK Headland Cheers Mike Cheers Mike
