I too was in Ng Tung Chai this morning: 0700h - 0945 h, up to Middle Falls and back. Like Mike K., I had Mountain Bulbul, Brownish-flanked Bush Warbler (let's try to use the current standard vernacular names!), sev. Stubtails, Fulvettas, Treepie. Also two Lesser Shortwings singing, a Pygmy Wren Babbler (which to my ear simply repeats perfectly its second note, thus giving the three-note song Mike K. reported yesterday), two Mountain Tailorbirds (heard), Scaly Thrush, Grey-backed Thrush, Blyth's Leaf Warbler (apparently fokiensis) and a White-throated Fantail - not a White-browed as I mistakenly reported to Birdline. This bird, whatever its origins, is in perfect condition, and (this does not sound good) was actually seen within the monastery compound, in the barish bushes in front of the the big orange/pink wall just inside the entrance.
