We have set up two bird houses in twon months ago. I found that a pair of Oriental Magpie Robin male and female are move in yesterday and the female are busy in and out the house, it is quite sure that they have the baby. Does anyone know how many eggs they will get, I don't want to get closely to clarify, it may interrupt their family live. edsel chan

Congratulations! Do you have a feeling of going to be a grandparent? We had 2 broods of 4 chicks each in 1999. The first brood was very successful, We had seen them around in the area for a while before the parents sent them away. The second brood disappeared overnight. We didn't know what had happened to the chicks. They could have been taken by a predator, or their parents might have moved them somewhere else. (A bird watcher told me he had seen Magpie Robins carrying their chicks in their bills).
