Lamma Channel outing 博寮海峽觀鳥活動照片

Here are some of the photos taken today. 11/04/2004 Lamma Channel outing Lumix-FZ10 紅頸瓣蹼鷸 -- 繁殖羽 RED-NECKED PHALAROPE - BREEDING PLUMAGE 紅頸瓣蹼鷸-- 非繁殖羽 RED-NECKED PHALAROPE - NON-BREEDING PLUMAGE 小鵐 LITTLE BUNTING 白額燕鷗 LITTLE TERNS 大鳳頭燕鷗 GREATER CRESTED TERN 麻鷹 BLACK KITE The RED-NECKED PHALAROPES, the BLACK-NAPED TERNS, the GREATER CRESTED TERN were spotted by Dr. H.F. CHEUNG and the LITTLE BUNTING was spotted by Mr. FORREST FONG. Many thanks to Dr. H.F. CHEUNG and Mr. FORREST FONG. My photo of the GREATER CRESTED TERN is not good, another birder took a really nice for this bird, I hope he will post his photo of the GREATER CRESTED TERN soon.

Happy Easter! This holiday is really good for migratory birds. Though it's hot and sunny, we are very lucky to see more than a hundred of Red-necked Pharalope swim buoyantly in the sea and of coz, the beautiful Greater Crested Tern! What's more, we saw 6 Finless Porpoise! Outing Report for Lamma Channel ( 11 April 2004) Date: 11 April 2004 Location: Lamma Channel, Poi Toi, Waglan Island Weather: Sunny No. of Participants: 35 No. of Bird Species: 30 1. Little Egret 2. Reef Egret 3. Black-eared Kite 4. White Bellied Sea Eagle X 6 5. Peregrine Falcon X 1 6. Red-necked Pharalope (more than 100 in the sea) 7. Common Sandpiper X 1 8. Gull billed Tern X 4 9. Little Tern X 8 10. Greater Crested Tern X 1 11. Pacific Swift 12. Barn Swallow 13. Ashy Minivet X 1 14. Crested Myna 15. Crested Bulbul 16. Chinese Bulbul 17. Blue & White Flycatcher X 1 18. Little Bunting X 1 19. Greater Coucal (heard) 20. Black-faced Laughing Thrush 21. Blue Rock Thrush X 3 22. Violet Whistling Thrush X 2 23. Grey-backed Thrush X 2 24. Magpie Robin 25. Tree Sparrow 26.
