Looks like several breeding species have settled in well at Ng Tung Chai, with the following being seen or heard twice each in the last month including Tues 24th May. Hodgson's Hawk Cuckoo - 1 singing Lesser Coucal - singing (just once) Emerald Dove (just once) Lesser Shortwing - 1 singing (lowest known in HK during breeding season) Mountain Tailorbird -1 or more singing Hainan Blue Flycathcer - 1 singing male also a White breastsed Kingfisher continues to Hang around and may be breeding. However there are lots of drgonflies and damselflies and Hong Kong Cascade Frog seen recently too to compensate for the low variety of birds. Cheers Mike
