Chinese goshawks migrating 赤腹鷹的遷徙行為

They are usually passing through Lamma in the last week of April - up to 600 in a morning in previous years. They generally arrive around 9 a.m. so maybe they ovenight on an island somewhere south of Hong Kong. Anyone have any confirmation of this? They seem to meet at the hill above Pak Kok village, circle for a while, gain height and head off to the the north towards the western tip of HK Island. On Monday 25th I saw only 5, today Wednesday 27th, there were 7, but I'll check for the next couple of days to see when the big movement is coming through.

FYI came across one on Lamma today at about 11:00am & startled it - it was in an old pig-pen & had to fly out in front of me to get out - was about 6' away from me - very clear ID
