This morning was quieter, although an Asian Paradise Flycatcher was on the wire outside my house with a newly caught dragonfly - I was surprised it could take prey that was so big! Also 2 Arctic and 1 Pale-legged Leaf warbler A little later 5 Crested Serpent Eagles, a Black Kite, 3 Besra, 2 Crested Goshawks and best of all an Oriental Honey Buzzard were over the village between 0930 and 1030. Yesterday evening a Juvenile Dollarbird was seen on a tree at the edge of the village. Last year I had an autumn high count of 14 on 21 September, so check out the overhead wires if you around NTC in the next week or so. Another Chinese Mountain Snake was seen also. Cheers Mike K

A rather quiet morning at Ng Tung Chai, until a female Siberian Thrush, a Mountain Bulbul, and an Arctic Warbler were found on the path above the lower falls. This is the same area where 2 Siberian Thrushes were seen in April this year. Mountian Bulbul has not been seen in NTC for a few months, so it was nice to record one again Lower down a Lesser Shortwing sang once and Pygmy Wren Babler could be heard down close to the river. Cheers Mike K

This morning there was Verditer Flycatcher seen on the trees in the village at around 0900am. Yesterday a Crested Serpent Eagle was sat on the big square boulder on the ridge for a couple of hours - too far for pix but truly majestic! Cheers Mike K
