Waders at Mai Po today 今日在米埔的涉禽

Today was probably the best for weather and sighting waders in Deep Bay this year ( I've been going out every week since March). Although the tide was supposed to be a 2.1 meter which should have fallen short of the the hide , it actually came in past the hide which was moving around a bit. It came in very slowly so the birds came in and hung around in front for about half an hour , instead of flying straight over. When the tide dropped it also was very slow and the birds came back early and stood around about 30 -50 meters in front of the hide. Only 5 of us in the hide, including 2 visitors. Not many species and nothing unusual but nice to see. Tomorrow may be worth a visit as well. Neil

oh.. which 3 ? Bob, you and who else ? Lazy me tired about the haze weather in North Territories so spend a morning at home with my bed which make me miss the "2005 final good tide of MaiPo".

I had to work unfortunately, so I missed it. (Actually the camera is having the viewfinder repaired)
The birds came closer possible due to the lack of all the motor drives - they love Neil's silent camera.

good point, hv to try my noise reduce gear next time.. brought it but never use it.. ^^
