From dense scrub a typical Tu Wit Tuwu sounded. The calls were repeated 6 to 7 times.ALmost immediately Another Bird call was heard to my left which I could not ID. It was loud with varied notes. Yesterday, 20/11/05 at 10.30 am at a lower elevation ,the second call was again heard from the same dense shrub vegetation. Checking Mullarney's Birds of Europe The call was a good fit for the Tawny Owl song.
