I think it is now a good chance for generating the ¡¥noise¡¦ you mentioned on the public.     The content can be many rare and new bird species discovered in Po Toi Island in HK such as new species for Drongo Cuckoo, Japanese Cormorant, Chinese Thrush and Orange-breasted Green Pigeon and rare species for Swinhoe¡¦s Minivet, Green-backed Flycatcher, Japanese Paradise Flycatcher and so on. Hence, Po Toi Island may become established as an important location/habitat for the birds especially the migrant and rare bird species.   What do you think? So clearly this bird has a different character to the Chinese Thrush which seems determined to be seen and photographed by everyone in every different position.     On the last two times the pigeon has been seen, it was sitting in a tree about halfway up the hillside next to the small restaurant which is at the top of the steps on the pathway to the east side of the island. If you stand at the restaurant and look up the hillside, you will see some graves about halfway up, this is the area to search. I think the bird has been seen around midday but that's probably because of ferry times.   4 of us searched the whole area for 3 hours today and failed to find the bird. I will be going again tomorrow and Friday, I will report back if the bird reappears.   Other birds at Po Toi today, Chinese Thrush and Russet Bush Warbler heard calling from the long grass beside the small restaurant.
