Every time I go to Mai Po these days I get caught in a Rainstorm Warning. It rained from 8.00am to 2.00pm there yesterday. Although the tide was not so high a few birds came into #16/17. It was nice to see the Red-Necked Pharalope still there. Neil 80 Terek Sandpipers, 10 Whimbrel 30 Eurasian Curlew 5 Grey Plovers 1 Curlew Sandpiper 5 Redshank 20 Greenshank 5 Sandplover (not sure but probably Greater) 30 Pied Avocet 9 Black-Faced Spoonbill 5 Great Knot 15 Black-Tailed Godwits 6 Grey-Tailed Tatlers also 50 Great Egrets,3 Grey Herons,20 Little Egrets, 50 Black-Winged Stilts,4 Pied Kingfishers and possible Bonelli's Eagle. (This is not an exact count but just a rough idea)
