Black-eared Kite

Have tried to image these kites for a number of times, but with very little success so far. Suddenly one came close as I walked through MPNR this Tuesday. Although it has given me quite a few opportunities, I was still unable to get an image I really liked. Obviously much more practise is required... Anyway, below are several images that I would like to share with those interested in such magnificient creatures. MPNR 4/10/2005 1D Mark II, EF300 + 2x, f/5.6-f/6.3, 1/1250s, iso320 #1 #2 #3 #4

It must be "kite day" as I took some today too. These were both from my balcony with a 1D mkII and a 400mm f5.6 lens at ISO100, 1/1250 sec Altogether there were over 20 kites thermalling above the house but very few came down low enough to get decent images. Andrew
