Background
WWF Hong Kong has been assisting the Hong Kong SAR Government manage the Mai Po Nature Reserve since 1984 and every five-years, a new Management Plan is produced to set the task that will be carried out at the Reserve over the coming five years. The present Plan is due to finish in 2003 and work is now on-going to draft the new Plan for 2003 - 2008.
With growing public interest in Mai Po, there is a need for WWF Hong Kong to explain how the Reserve has been managed all these years, and to collect feedback and promote discussion on how the Reserve should be managed in future. As a result, WWF Hong Kong will be organising an open meeting to do this on 16 December 2002 at Baptist University.
Seating will be on first come first serve basis. To ensure a place at the meeting, please contact Ms. Silvia Yeung (Tel: 2471-6306 or e-mail: maipo@wwf.org.hk).
Please come along and help us improve the management of Mai Po Nature Reserve.
