19th January 2003 in She Tau Village, Sai Kung You can see lots of trees were destroyed by those wargame guy. This is also not only affect the birds but also affect our own safety. I have called the police to stop them, but later I heard that when the police arrrived, they all gone or hidden away. I have observed over 150pcs of Silky Starling, 50pcs of Black Bird, 1 pc of Grey Treepie, 3 pcs of Daurian Redstart around here. http://www.geocities.com/ck15106224/126-2695_IMG.JPG http://www.geocities.com/ck15106224/127-2714_IMG.JPG http://www.geocities.com/ck15106224/126-2697_IMG.JPG http://www.geocities.com/ck15106224/127-2701_IMG.JPG http://www.geocities.com/ck15106224/127-2702_IMG.JPG

I visited this place few days ago. It is really a pity that many trees were cut and made the whole environment a mess! Some villagers told me that every sunday morning, a group of young men will come to play war game there. The noise, waste and now the damage to the trees had already threaten the ecolgical system nearby (including people who are passing through). May I Suggest here that if any birdwatchers come across those people playing war again there, please complaint to the following department: Sai Kung Police: 2792-8600 AFCD 24 hours hotline: 2150-6666 Let's do something to safe guard our nature!
