藍翡翠墮網被擒 Black-capped Kingfisher Netted

一 名 男 子 上 前 拿 下 成 「 網 中 鳥 」 的 藍 翡 翠 ， 並 即 時 返 回 屋 內 。

A Black-capped Kingfisher was caught in a fish net hanging in the open at Nam Sang Wai last Saturday. It was taken away by a man from a nearby house. The incident was witnessed by the Activities Director of the Eco-education and Resources Centre. AFCD would follow up but cautioned that the net might not be intended for catching birds. They said that there was only one case where people was caught catching birds in the last 3 years.

「【 明 報 專 訊 】 候 鳥 到 港 越 冬 的 其 中 一 個 熱 門 棲 息 地 南 生 圍 ， 近 日 豎 立 了 多 個 漁 網 ， 當 中 最 長 的 至 少 有 20 米 ， 有 觀 鳥 人 士 於 上 周 六 發 { 有 一 隻 藍 翡 翠 成 為 「 網 中 鳥 」 ， 並 目 睹 有 人 趨 前 將 這 隻 藍 翡 翠 收 起 ﹔ 懷 疑 有 人 設 器 捕 鳥 ， 要 求 政 府 調 查 。 」
「漁 護 署 發 言 人 表 示 ， 本 港 因 捕 捉 雀 鳥 而 被 捕 的 個 案 極 少 ， 過 去 3 年 只 有 1 宗 。 發 言 人 稱 ， 該 署 會 跟 進 事 件 ， 暫 未 能 確 定 豎 立 漁 網 的 動 機 ， 不 宜 太 早 下 結 論 。 署 方 呼 籲 漁 民 在 曬 晾 或 維 修 漁 網 時 ， 應 在 網 上 綁 上 彩 帶 ， 或 將 漁 網 放 在 地 下 ， 避 免 雀 鳥 墮 網 。 」
唉！南生圍的野鳥真的是多災多難！各位拍友要打醒精神，除了拍鳥之外也要幫忙 監察那些對雀鳥不利的人，一有發現就要「就地正拍」。
So this is Nam Sang Wai! Besides taking pictures of birds, would the photographers please also keep an eye on the people. Shoot them on site if they do anything that will harm the birds!

Read the whole message and feel very angry. What can we do for this Kingfisher? Can Mr. 程 詩 灝 / 生 態 教 育 及 資 源 中 心 tell which exact house he refers to? I suspect there might have lots of birds kept in this house. Can we request Police or AFCD to search this house? Reporting one case implies there were lots of cases happened already!

漁網真的要這麼一字排開架起來晾曬嗎？為甚麼在其他地方沒有人這樣做呢？
如果不是存心捕鳥，為何偏要在鳥兒出沒的草叢之間晾曬漁網？為何要將落網的藍 翡翠帶走，而不是立即放生？
照片很清楚的顯示那人捉鳥在手，當局會不會找他出來「協助調查」呢？
Do fish nets really have to be set up in such a way for maintenance? Why haven't I see people doing the same elsewhere?
If they were not after the birds, why did they set up the net among reeds frequented by birds? Why did the man take away the kingfisher rather than releasing it immediately?
The photo shows clearly what the man was doing. Would AFCD or the Police get him for further investigation?
