【 明 報 專 訊 】 與 香 港 「 血 脈 相 連 」 的 深 圳 河 污 染 情 況 日 益 嚴 重 ， 深 圳 市 政 府 為 解 決 深 圳 河 又 黑 又 臭 的 問 題 ， 年 初 構 思 利 用 海 水 沖 河 ， 並 委 託 科 技 大 學 及 廈 門 大 學 進 行 初 步 研 究 。 深 圳 前 日 舉 行 座 談 會 並 公 布 中 期 報 告 ， 結 果 指 方 案 對 后 海 灣 的 水 質 及 生 態 「 無 明 顯 問 題 」 ， 構 思 可 行 。 本 港 環 團 及 學 者 擔 心 ， 計 劃 一 旦 上 馬 ， 有 毒 污 染 物 被 沖 入 米 埔 濕 地 ， 恐 帶 來 生 態 災 難 ， 長 遠 更 會 污 染 香 港 整 個 西 面 水 域 。
The Shenzhen Municipal Government are planning to flush the heavily polluted Shenzhen River with sea water pumped from the Mirs Bay. During a seminar held yesterday, they announced that interim results from a study by HKUST and Xiamen University indicated the scheme to be “feasible with no major problem”. Green groups and academics in Hong Kong are worried that implementation of the plan would mean ecological disaster, as toxic wastes would be flushed into the Mai Po wetlands. They also anticipated that the pollution would eventually affect all waters to the west of Hong Kong.
