Hi everybody - I'm very impressed by the photos posted by lots of people, and I have a request. I moderate a discussion forum called "flora and fauna" on the MyLamma site. The address is: http://www.lamma.com.hk/forum/index.php I would like to post some photos of common HK birds to try to interest people in the topic. Most people who use the site are not birdwatchers, and tend to ask questions like "what's that black bird I see around lamma?" So my aim would be to introduce gradually some very basic things like how to distinguish the three common bulbuls found here or how to tell a crested mynah from a koel or a blackbird. If anyone has any photos I could use to help with this (I already refer people to the HKBWS site) I would be grateful. These are not for commercial exploitation in any way, and would be fully credited with the photographers name. Cheers, geoff

Hi Geoff, Ms Carrie Ma, the Project Officer of HKBWS forwarded this link to me and see whether I could offer help. I am happy to offer some common bird photos for education purpose. You could find some of my photos in a website created by my friend: http://www.hkgfga.org/easygallery/display.php You may contact me through email <lui_henry@yahoo.com.hk> and I could email / ftp you the photos of the bird species which you want. Regards, Henry Lui Member, Education and Publicity Committee
