闊別五載重臨 下站直飛非洲
亞穆爾隼來港加油
【記者蔡傳威報道】十月起更是觀察遷徙猛禽的旺季，只要在空曠的郊野，便大有 機會看到隼、鷂、鳶等雀鳥。近日，在本港極為罕見，一大一小的猛禽亞穆爾隼被 發現在尖鼻咀出現，為繼續其長達一萬多公里的遷徙旅途而加油。
亞穆爾隼是亞洲地區最長途飛行的遷徙猛禽，香港觀鳥會水鳥普查項目統籌員余日 東指出，亞穆爾隼飛行一萬三千至一萬六千公里，在中國東北及西伯利亞繁殖後， 向西南方遷徙，途經印度或華南地區補給，然後一口氣橫越印度洋，不停站直飛往 非洲東部和南部。
猛禽食腐肉 阻病毒傳播
該會會員方健華本月在尖鼻咀先後發現兩隻亞穆爾隼，站在電線上歇息。他稱，亞 穆爾隼是華南地區極罕見的鳥種，本港首次確認的紀錄是於在一九九九年十月在米 埔錄得，今次再發現對香港鳥類紀錄和自然保育有很大幫助。
香港每年出現超過二十二種遷徙或越冬的猛禽，數量是世界上罕見。猛禽是食肉的 鳥類，例如亞穆爾隼、普通鵟、黑翅鳶等，發揮弱肉強食的本能，保持生態的平衡 ；而部分猛禽例如麻鷹，則進食腐肉，牠們及時清除腐敗的動物屍體，阻止病毒的 傳播。
余日東稱，猛禽依賴廣闊和較少人為干擾的生態環境，若希望繼續有機會看到大量 猛禽遷徙的盛況，人們應更重視現有環境資源，保護開闊的田野、濕地及樹林等適 合牠們棲息和覓食的環境。
