Discounts on Coolpix 4500 lenses and remote cord

Yesterday I collected my repaired Coolpix 4500 from Nikon and discovered that they have discounted many items in order to get rid of remaining stocks now that the 4500 is not manufactured any more.
All items are half of the original list price (for example the wide angle lenses are now 500 - 1280 instead of double the price.
I bought an electronic remote cord for 495 which used to be 1,000 in the repair centre.
These prices may apply in Nikon agencies, but may not.
