For information. quote" -----Original Message----- From: Donald, Paul Sent: Friday, June 09, 2006 2:15 PM To: Subject: [OB] Birdfair/RSPB Research Fund for Endangered Birds - callforapplications Dear colleagues We are pleased to announce the opening of the 2006 call for proposals to the Birdfair/RSPB Research Fund for Endangered Birds. This fund offers grants of up to US$2,000 to support research on species listed by IUCN as Endangered or Critically Endangered in any part of the world. Of the 75 applications received last year, we were able to fund or co-fund 20. The fund gives priority to people working in-country, particularly where they are working with the BirdLife Partner there (Partners themselves are welcome to apply), though we also welcome applications from individuals or organisations working in countries without a Partner. For further details and an application form (please note, this is different to last year's form), please email me (paul.donald@rspb.org.uk) or write to the address below. Please forward this to anyone you think might be interested in applying (and I would be grateful if someone could post this on the Neotropical Bird Club server as I am not a member - thanks!). Best wishes Paul Dr Paul F Donald Senior Research Biologist International Research Team RSPB The Lodge Sandy Bedfordshire SG19 2DL UK tel: +44 (0)1767 680551 fax: +44 (0)1767 692365 www.rspb.org.uk
