It is interesting that such beautiful male birds almost always appear around January and before Christmas almost all birdsare females/immatures.
It would be great if the expert phoographers could shoot some of the other thrushes which are so abundant this winter - that would bea really tough challenge as they are so shy.

The Red flank blue tail is very abundant this winter and they are always in pairs in Tai Po Kau.
There is a pair at picnic #1, a pair at picnic#2 and anther pair at the nature garden.
