It is interesting that such beautiful male birds almost always appear around January and before Christmas almost all birdsare females/immatures. It would be great if the expert phoographers could shoot some of the other thrushes which are so abundant this winter - that would bea really tough challenge as they are so shy. A wonderful photo - congratulations Mike

The Red flank blue tail is very abundant this winter and they are always in pairs in Tai Po Kau. There is a pair at picnic #1, a pair at picnic#2 and anther pair at the nature garden.
