Went to look for this bird today, but failed to see it so, since I may return, which do you mean by "the first bridge" - is it the one just downstream from where the road up the valley crosses the stream, or do you mean the closest one to Tai Po Town? Thanks for any help you can give.

Dear Mike, There is a bridge over the stream for the main traffic between the Upper and Lower Wun Yiu Village. About 50 meter down the stream there is another concrete bridge for pedestrians (right next to the main gabbage collection station). There are several trees under/next to the bridge. The Brown-breasted Flycatcher perferred low branches overlooking the artificial water channel. Ho-Fai

Ho-fai, Saw it very well this afternoon - thanks for the excellent directions. Also of interest, a little further up the road near the Cheng Uk Tei junction, a male Common Rosefinch. Mike Turnbull
