small numbers breed , but the majority are migrants and winter visitors. They are threatened in Deep Bay, which is a regionally important wintering site because they are hesitant to use the ponds with wires across them which have been introduced by AFCD, and as a result their habitat is shrinking. Dear Mike, It seems that the wiring idea is very effective. I only saw a few Cormorant in those wired ponds during last winter in Lut Chau area. Should the number of wired ponds be limited to certain threshold in each area? Any advice from experts around? Regards, Karl.
