KK, Thanks for the demo with 300 f2.8. I really like the backlighting effect. I was just wondering how come there are so much detail on the back of the bird with backlighting... then I realised that you used fill flash. Wow! The fill flash is just right. Very soft, very detailed, very natural... Haven't got to try using flash yet Unfortunately, I am out of action right now. My camera is in for service with AF problems Hope to get it back soon.

Great picture! Can you share with us the technique on filled-in flash : what type of flash, how far can the light flash, how to adjust the exposure, can we do it with Cannon 300D?

| For flash photography with super telephoto lens you would need a flash extender such as the "Better Beamer". The BB boosts approx just over two stops EV of intensity. The reach of the flash is however very much dependent upon ISO of film, lens focal length, whether used as fill-in or main flash and also ambient light condition during shooting. Sure the 300D will work with flash extender as well using Canon 420EX or 550EX unit ... KK Hui ARPS www.geocities.com/kkhui_001
