An excellent photgraph! I saw this bird three weeks ago at Pond 20 and had assumed that it was a juvenile. However, this great photograph shows that in fact it is a second-winter bird. If you look at the primaries there are two different ages, with the inner ones being fresher and less worn. Also the tail shows two different ages of feathers and the streaking on the breast is perhaps too coarse for a juvenile.
