Hello Karl, This is only about 20% of the full frame area, so it wasn't as close as it may seem. I used a beanbag on the car window, and the Canon Image Stabiliser and autofocus made it an easier shot than it would have been with my old gear ! ( Pentax: nice enough lenses, but heavy, no IS, and no autofocus with teleconverters.) John
