This photo is a Little Ringed Plover chick. You'll see that it has quite an obvious line across the top of the head and through the eye; I don't think that a Kentish Plover chick has such marked lines in this way. Further, it is likely that leg colour differs. On KP chick, they are yellowish, while on LRP, they are greyish.
Further, KP has never bred in HK as far as we know, and there are annual reports of LRP breeding. Consequently, it is more likely to be LRP.
