It's certainly a warbler and I think it's a Dusky Warbler. Notice the brownish overall coloration, with perhaps a greyish cast around the head, typical at this time of year as plumage gets very worn, no wing bars or any other distinguishing features, apart from the a supercilium which is clearly more distinct in front of the eye compared to behind it. Did you note a 'tak' call? It's most numerous in the NW NT but can be found almost anywhere in HK in winter, usually near water. Mike Turnbull

Many thanks for Mike's advice. The bird looks like a Dusky Warbler but it has dark feet. Is it right that Dusky Warblers have feet that are light brown in color?

The legs are, I guess, a bit darker than usual, but are noted as being variable (e.g. in Svensson's Identification Guide to European Passerines) and everything else points very strongly to Dusky Warbler, especially the supercilium. Mike Turnbull
