20D+600IS+1.4x, IS0200, Manual Exposure. Originally in landscape mode, I cut it from left & right to make it to be portrait.
This is one of my favourite shots this month. I like the clear background (though not blue, hardly to have blue background now), turning head as well as good details of black & white colour of the subject, although it is a very common bird to be overlooked.

Love the clean BG etc as you mentioned. Its a very good perch too!!  Rare to find them on a perch. A bit bored of the dark grey background though, but this seems to have become a hall mark of our sky...
