Haven't posted for a long time. Thought you may be interested in this series of images just for fun.  Sorry about the poor quality since they are almost 100% crops.

Didn't see any ducks yesterday. Mainly herons and the four kinds of kingfishers: Pied, Common, White-Breasted, Black-Cap. 
NSW seems more enjoyable as far as photog. Mai Po has been extremely frustrating so far...

In response to KK's question, the ducks are winter visitors and should be arriving over the next couple of months.
A good place to check such things is in the Avifaunan of Hong Kong. This book shows the arrival and abundance of every regularly occurrring species in graph format, so there is no need to search through the text (although the information is there too!)
