Killer shrike - this may upset some people

I saw this shrike ( I presume it's a dusky shrike) with something in it's beak ,which I saw later looked like a little bird. Would this be usual behaviour for shrikes? Not surprising - shrikes are predators of insects and small animals. Some shrike species (e.g. Brown Shrike) are called butcher birds.
