Common Sandpiper

Back from my holidays and headed on over to Lamma to see what had turned up. This is one of a pair that I digiscoped last year. Neil Lamma Island, Hong Kong, China. 31/08/06 Olympus 7070wz plus Swarovski STS80HD scope and Sw 30x eyepiece and DCA adapter

This is a nice clear shot, but I don't think it can be one of a pair digiscoped last year. The very heavy dark-and-buff barring on the wing coverts suggest that the bird is, in fact, a juvenile. david
