The Shanghai Botanical Garden is the favorate place for the SH birders. I see myself more of a Shanghai birders than Hongkong these days, as I am "resident" in Shanghai these days.
We found the neighbouring cities of Shanghai also quite attractive, too. We used to go Hangzhou Botanical Gardens ( 1 day roun trip from SH), or the Nanjing Laoshan Foresty reserve ( 2 days weekend trip).
If any Hongkong birdes will stop by Shanghai, I am pleased to arrange for a birding tour, with a Cantonese guide (myself)

Dear Jimmy,
The HKBWS/Birdlife International China Programme will organize training workshop for bird watchers at Hangzhou in late August. The content is on organizing education activities related to birds. So I will come to Hangzhou and will visit Shanghai for at least half a day. There will be chances to meet.
