One more piece of information extracted from e-mail circulation from APWM for your reference. For more information about banding of Black-faced Spoonbill, please refer to http://www.hkbws.org.hk/waterbird/bfs3.html Quote" Dear all, Dr. Ma Zhijun of the Fudan University, China reported the sighting of a banded Black-faced Spoonbill at the eastern tidal land of Chongming Island (a site in the Asia-Australasian Shorebird Network), Shanghai on 2 April 2003. The Black-faced Spoonbill was banded in Hong Kong last December (I have posted a messaged on this issue on 27 December 2002). The number on its band was A35. It was found in a flock of 13 Black-faced Spoonbills. Dr. Ma has seen other flocks of Black-faced Spoonbills at Chongming on the same day. The total number he saw was 27 birds.
