Black-faced Spoonbill (黑臉琵鷺) inflight

Apart from ducks, NSW is also a very good spot for observing and photographing BFS. The images below are three of the many images of a single sequence. Note that the appearance and feel of #1 is very different from the other two, without the blessing of warm morning light.

Just wonder, are they only appeared in NSW in the morning time. I been NSW a few times (after 11:00am)but still got no chance to meet them. Pls advise.
