On 25th,May,there're still at least 8 bfs(3 imm) with a little breeding plumage, in a fish pond at East Beach,Chongming Island. Will they stay all this summer long here? We'll go on watching.

In Hong Kong, more than 10 immature Black-faced Spoonbills still remained in Mai Po. It is likely that some of them will remain in Hong Kong over the summer. It is also not unusual and it happened before. Young birds do not have ability to breed and so they might choose to stay in south to save energy from the migration. The birds in Shanghai may also stay over summer. Keep eyes on it!
