Bird flu moves towards Europe

Migratory birds may have caused outbreaks in Russia and Kazakhstan.
The genetic sequencing of the virus in Russia, and its comparison with strains from elsewhere, should determine whether it came from migratory birds, or rather via a terrestrial route from China or elsewhere.
