Title: Birding in Central London Post by BERNARD on Jan 29th, 2003, 12:01pm I shall go to London on 30th Jan mainly for business. I shall probably have only a few hours spare daytime for birding. Can anybody suggests me some good birding sites in Central London that can be reached by underground rail ? Are urban parks such as Hyde Park and Regent Park good sites to see Goldcrest/Firecrest or Common Starling or even Mandarin Duck and Robin ? All I know are a few Ravens in Tower of London. Thanks. Bernard. |

Title: Re: Birding in Central London Post by Koel_Ko on Jan 30th, 2003, 10:09am Dear Bernard, Hyde Park should be a good place to see Jays, Crows, abundant Common Starlings, Grebes, Ducks, and Gulls. Goldcrest can be seen in urban parks too, but Firecrest seems unlikely in midwinter. Anyway, good Luck! |
