Lots of good birds still at Mai Po.

Perhaps we need to start putting more pressure on the government so that they reopen the reserve soon!

That way we will all get to enjoy these birds!

Lots of waders at Mai Po today, but the only thing that I think was new was a Little Stint, seen off the Borardwalk on the falling tide (found by Y.T. Yu)

Today at Mai Po the following birds were seen between 1145 and 1530:

Swinhoe's Egret - 3
White-bellied Sea Eagle - 1 ad

Watercock - 1

Asiatic Dowitcher - 5
Nordmann's Greenshank - 4
Spoon-billed Sandpiper - 1
Red-necked Phalarope - 2

of a selection of 23 spp of waders.

Yellow Bittern - 1
Striated Heron - 3 inc breeding display at pond 16/17
