Title: The Magpie Story II ³ßÄNªº¬G¨Æ II Post by ³¾¤Í¢Ï(BWA) on Dec 14th, 2004, 12:08am ¤µ¦~¤¤ë¤§«á¡A³ßÄN¤Ò°üªºÂ±_¤@ª½¥áªÅ¡A¦ý¬O¥»¤ë¡]¤Q¤G¤ë¡^ªì¨º¸Ì¤S¦³¤F°ÊÀR¡G¤@¹ï³ßÄN¥¿±q¨º¸Ì±Ä¶°¤p¾ðªK¡A·h¨ì¥H«e¶Â»âÙʳ¾´¿¸g¡u¸Õ¥Î¡vªº¿O¬W¤W¡A¶}©l¿v°_±_¨Ó¡I The old magpie nest was deserted since last May. I was surprised to find in early December that a pair of magpies were starting a new nest at the Black-necked Starlings' light post ¡V using materials from the old nest! http://netalbum.netvigator.com/photos/2004/12/13/b3331152112162741102953497104.jpg ³o¦¸ªº¨â°¦³ßÄN³£¦³ªøªøªº§À¦Ð¡A¨ä¤¤¤@°¦§À¸ûªø¡AÅé§Î¤]µy¬°¤j¡A¼È®É´N¥s¨e¡uÄN¥Í¡v¡A¦Ó¨eªº°t°¸´N¥s¡uÄN¤Ó¡v§a¡C¤£ª¾¬O¤£¬O¤W¦¸ªº¨º¤@¹ï¡C Both partners have complete tail feathers this time. I call the bird with longer tail and bigger body Mr M, and his mate Mrs M. Not sure if they are the same couple as last time. http://netalbum.netvigator.com/photos/2004/12/13/b3331152112165741102953505854.jpg ¨C¤Ñ²M±á¤C®É¥¼¨ì¡A¨â¤Ò°ü«K¶}¤u¿v±_¡K They start work early in the morning before 7:00¡K http://netalbum.netvigator.com/photos/2004/12/13/b3331152112168691102953514916.jpg http://netalbum.netvigator.com/photos/2004/12/13/b3331152112165991102953510198.jpg °¸µM¤]·|¯¸¦b¤@°_¬Ý¤é¥X¡C Sometimes they will share a moment together for the sunrise. http://netalbum.netvigator.com/photos/2004/12/13/b3331152112164901102953517840.jpg ¨ì¤F¤W¬P´Á¤Ñ¡A·s±_©|¥¼§¹¦¨¡A¦ý±_¤w®t¤£¦h¥þ©î¥ú¤F¡C Although the new nest was far from complete, the old nest was almost gone by last Sunday. http://netalbum.netvigator.com/photos/2004/12/13/b3331152112169051102953483429.jpg ®³¥H«eªºÂ·Ӥ@¤ñ¡A¦³¤£¤Ö±_§÷¤£ª¾©ÒÁa¡A·|¤£·|¬Oµ¹¥t¥~¤@¨Ç³¾¥Í³¾¤Ó®³¨«¤F¡H µL½×¦p¦ó¡A¬Û«H¨e̤w°µ¨ìª«ºÉ¨ä¥Î¡A©î¼Ó¹s¦Ã¬V¡C Comparison with an old shot indicate that a lot of material is not accounted for ¡Vhad they been taken away by yet another couple?
