Title: Re: Great Crested Grebe »ñÀYø剸 [breeding] Post by Webmaster on Mar 26th, 2003, 12:28am Dear KK, Just wonder why the photo is not as sharp as your other photos Is it being cropped? Or will it be due to the fact that it is a digital photo??? Regards, Karl Ng. |

Title: Re: Great Crested Grebe »ñÀYøå? [breeding] Post by bjingbar on Mar 26th, 2003, 7:04am KK, Great shot. It definetly has a different feel to your shots taken on film. The lack of detail in the water, except for the reflection, really makes the subject stand out. Overall the shot tends to look more like a painting. Bob |

Daniel: I have the EOS-10D for less than a week now. With respect to shooting birds in flight, the 7-point AF is passable for tracking but not as good compared to my EOS-1v film SLR. The number of times I loose focus, in AF Servo mode, is higher in comparison. With digital, you have instant feedback and it's a great learning tool! You also save on film & processing costs. Plus the fact that you can change ISO setting any time you like to suit the lighting conditions is a real bonus ... Yes, I think I would still keep and use my 1v and shoot slides for serious work/assignments. Until technology and cost are justified I shall get myself a 'flagship' digital SLR then. Karl: The shot above is more or less full frame. If anything, it should be smoother an no grain compares to images taken with film. Best kk ----------- http://www.geocities.com/kkhui_001 |
