Taken on 18th September 2006 at Tai Peng village, Lamma. Not much to go on so a challenge to our experts. Could it be an immature white-winged starling?

Yes, it is an White-shouldered Starling, beginnning, I think to moult from juvenile plumage to whatever they next get (first winter or adult?).

Thanks Mike. I suspect they breed here, as there are sightings throughout the year.
