Hi Owen,

I think it's a Red-throated Pipit.

It's got a "small pipit jizz", with a rather fine bill, heavy streaking below, a wing pattern which is just right for that species and we can see mantle stripes.

There are quite a few other features point which point to that species too.

I think it may be a pechora pipit, given a pale colored tripe on side of mantle and a dark loral stripe as well. The bill base is also quite pink to me, though not really large in the pictures.

To me the base of the bill is yellowish, and the malar stripe is long, reaching a long way towards the bill - these features point to Red-throated rather than Pechora I believe.

Also I think Pechora should have more obvious wing-bars than this. And shorter tertials.

Some elements of face pattern may favour Pechora though.

This is certainly not a Pechora.  It is overall too dull, Pechora is a a richly coloured pipit, in addition the dark lores and eyestrpie and super extending well behind the eye are both wrong.  Finally, Pechora is the only pipit which shows primary projection beyond the tertials which is lacking in this bird.  It is a Red-throated Pipit, albeit on the well-marked side.
