Report leg-flagged shorebirds 如見足旗請報告

Dear all,
Thousands of shorebirds are received leg-flags every year, mainly from Australia and some from Hong Kong as well. This is to find out the migratory route of the shorebirds that is essemtial for the shorebird conservation.
The spring migration has been started already and a few thousands of shorebird already arrive to Mai Po. You may find some birds which have leg flag(s) on the leg(s). Please help recording the species, date, colour(s) of the flag(s), position(s) of the flag(s) (left or right legs, above or below the 'knee'), percentage of breeding plumage (in every 25%, i.e. 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% or 100%).
Then please send the information to the society or email to bfspoonbill@hkbws.org.hk

各位鳥友,
每年春季有數以千計的過境涉禽途經香港, 從中有部分涉禽的腳上有附上腳旗,這是用來研究牠們的遷移路線。大部分是由澳 洲方面所做,最近香港也開始參與。
各位如觀察有腳旗的涉禽,懇請把資料包括日期,地點,烏種,腳旗的顏色及其位置(例:右腳,膝下,黃色; 左腳,膝上,黑色),繁殖羽比率(每25%,即是紀錄0%, 25%, 50%, 75%及100%)紀錄, 及提交到香港觀鳥會或電郵到bfspoonbill@hkbws.org.hk

Dear all members,
I would like to collect all the sighting records of leg-flagged shorebirds in the 2006 spring (and also 2005 autumn). I gather all the sighting records and will put it in the annual shorebird monitoring report and also submit to Australia Wader Study Group for making annual review about the migration of this shorebirds.

Report of the leg-flagged shorebirds include several information and please refer to the message above.
