With the high tides this week and the arrivals of more birds there was plenty to see at Pond 11 and 16/17. On the Tuesday there were 600 plus birds and the Wednesday there were well over 1000. Of special interest were a few Long-Toed Stints, many Curlew Sandpipers (many still in breeding color),many Wood Sandpipers, a few Terek Sandpipers ,Grey Plovers ,a couple of Spotted Redshanks(still in breeding color ) and several Marsh Sandpipers. There was at least one Whimbrel reported. Here are a few record photos digiscoped over the two days. Unfortunately the light was poor.Neil
