I also many herons near the temple recently, including:
- grey heron
- little egret
- chinese pond heron
- Black-crowned Night Heron

In addition, I also saw Pied Kingfisher flying away from the temple once!

Dollar Bird in April to May
White Breast Kingfisher, on the wire cable
Black Baza in June, on the wire cable
White Breasted Waterhen on the ground
Wryneck on the bananna ground
Black Bulbul
Red vented Bulbul

;)[b][/b]Yesterday (2:45 - 4:45), I went to Heung Chung 響鐘(opposite to Marina Cove), some birds are seen:

little Egret 小白鷺
Great Egret 大白鷺
Grey Heron 蒼鷺
Black-crowned Night Heron 夜鷺
Common Sandpiper 磯鷸
Black Kite 麻鷹
Koel 噪鵑
Spotted Dove 珠頸斑鳩
White-breasted Kingfisher 白胸翡翠
Black-capped Kingfisher 藍翡翠
Barn Swallow 家燕
House Swift 小白腰雨燕
White Wagtail 白鶺鴒

Dear Pelican,

I have been visit Heung Chung and Nam Wai in yesterday morning from 9:00 to 12:00am, I also observed more than 60pcs of Kentish Plover, 4pcs Black Capped Kingfisher and a Little Green Heron in Nam Wai.

Could anyone tell me which location / area in Ho Chung and Nam Wai is best for birdwatching.

Both are good, you may get some Mei Po feeling in Nam Wai mangroves tree. Please check the tide schedule before visit Nam Wai.

To Ho Chung, you can park your car near by the old Temple, it's free and safe.

There's a bird watching activity at Ho Chung and Mau PIng on the coming 4th May 2003

I haven't been to these places, gotta join the tour, hehee... :)
