At Mai Po this morning a Brown-chested Jungle Flycatcher has been showing well. It is currently by Pond 16b (i.e. near the Education Centre), follow the green metal posts by the path and its hanging around the thick scrub/bush there.

Other birds seen today (September 15th) at Mai Po by various birders were Yellow-rumped Flycatcher, Asian Paradise Flycatcher (X2), Japanese Paradise Flycatcher, Dark-sided Flycatcher, Asian Brown Flycatcher (X3), Siberian Blue Robin, Pallas's Grasshopper Warbler, Arctic Warbler (X2), Pale-legged/Sakhalin Leaf Warbler, Brown Shrike. All in all, a good spread of migrants.

Many of these were in the general area where the Brown-chested Flycatcher was seen in the morning. (Unfortunately it wasn't present in the afternoon, when I and a couple of others looked for it!!)

Was briefly at Mai Po (1000-1130) after Long Valley.

I was in a bit of a rush so didn't have a real good look around. The only bird of note was a female Grey Bushchat showing well on the benches close to the education centre. But I was happy with that.
