Dear Oriental Birders

In early August there was a Pheasant-tailed Jacana in Ibaraki Prefecture, which is about 2 hours drive from Tokyo.

Look at the birders and photographers gathered for the twitch.

At the mouth of Tama River which divides Tokyo and Kanagawa prefectures, a White-rumped Sandpiper was recorded which is the first for Japan.
