(1) Female, pale yellow bill with pinkish base.
(2) Male, bright yellow bill with greyish blue base.
I learned about this from Collins Bird Guide & RSPB Bird Photo Guide, both published in England.
I don't know if the Asian subspecies seen in Hong Kong have similar sex ID or not.
