Fei, The new firmware (ver 1.10) is just released in this morning. However, the corresponding webpage & description have not been updated yet. http://web.canon.jp/Imaging/eos1dm2/eos1dmk2_firmware-e.html Let's see how much improvement it will offer. Regards, Forrest

The 1D2 latest firmware upgrade Ver. 1.1.0 is now available thro Canon's site. I've just done mine and will be testing it later. It claims to improve the AF tracking when using the AI Servo AF to shoot low-luminance or low-contrast subjects. So this sounds exciting particularly if you're shooting flying bird against a featured bg ... on Dec 21st, 2004, 9:14am, 648 wrote: ... 我發現用1Dm2拍攝飛鳥,並不容易獲得清晰銳利的影像,但你卻可以,可以透露dd嗎? ... |
| Fei, There is no secret but a few things to keep in mind though ... For big birds such as the BFS in flight, a ss of 1/800s is minimum to freeze the action unless you're panning and would want a blurred wing effect. Close down by one stop if you're using 1.4x converter with your 600/4. And lastly take care when you do the sharpening; the last thing you want is to overdo it like many of the photos posted here! on Dec 21st, 2004, 9:36am, raycheng wrote: ...
